Harold J. Iverson, 89, of Black River Falls, WI died peacefully April 14, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center of Black River Falls, WI.  

Harold was born on July 24, 1927 in the township of Springfield, Taylor, WI to Ingwal and Alma (Olsen) Iverson.

Harold was an active, lifelong member of the Taylor Lutheran Church. He married Dorothy Moldenhauer on September 22, 1951 in Taylor, WI.  Together they owned and operated the Iverson home farm for 45 years. Harold was well known for his attention to detail on the farm, taking great care of their cattle and other animals.  He was a great steward of the land, and kept his farm machinery in excellent condition.

After moving to Black River Falls, Harold continued with his caring and compassion ways, helping the many friends, neighbors, and relatives who needed his help. He was always compassionately there for so many.

Harold is survived by his special friend, Margie Anderson of Black River Falls, WI, and several special nieces and nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, on May 8, 1996; his parents, and two brothers; Lavern Iverson and Ellsworth Iverson.

 All who knew him will sadly miss Harold, and he will be remembered for his genuine interest, kindness and love for all the people whose lives he touched.

 A Memorial service will be at 11.00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Taylor Lutheran Church in Taylor, WI.  Pastor Mara Ahles-Iverson will be officiating.  Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Honorary pallbearers are Ed Chamberlain, Paul Olson, Ellsworth Storlie, John Joten, Daryl Boe, Arnie Stein, Dave Dettinger, Ed Bucholz, Scott Moldenhauer, Laverne Moldenhauer, Richard Moldenhauer, and Melvin Moldenhauer. 

Memorials may be given to the Taylor Lutheran Church or to the Taylor Fire Dept. in Harold’s memory.
