Harold E. Yutesler

May 21, 2015

Harold (Hal or H) E. Yutesler, 81, died peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire.

He was born on June 11, 1933, in Modale, Iowa to Beulah (Hansen) and James (Ray) Yutesler.

He served honorably in the US Army in the early 1950’s. Hal worked as a sales representative for a variety of organizations, but found his joy working with veterinary clinics across Wisconsin the last decades of his career. Hal held a black belt in judo and taught judo to youths and adults at the local YMCA in the 1960s and early 1970s. Hal had a variety of other interests, but was particularly fond of fishing, reading, and golfing.

Survivors include his two sons, Ron Yutesler of Payson, AZ and David Yutesler of Roseville, MN, granddaughter Nicole (and Chris) Brooks of Phoenix, AZ, and grandson Ben Trautlein of Herbster, WI. The family and others will miss his dry sense of humor, his sweet disposition, and his inquisitiveness which resulted in his read-and-do approach to learning new skills ranging from installing new electrical outlets to experimenting with different methods of making and baking bread!

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol in May 2010, his parents in the mid-1980’s, and his brother Jim in January 2011.

A cremation is planned, but no services will be held as Hal requested. Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire is serving the family. Visit http://www.fullerspeckienhulke.com/obituaries/ to express condolences online.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Eau Claire Humane Association, the Eau Claire Public Library, or the Eau Claire Senior Center, all of which are places that Hal appreciated as an Eau Claire resident since 1966.
