Gary H. Brzozowski, 73, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire.

Gary was born on July 18, 1944 in Hartford, WI to Stanley and Marcella (Orlowski) Brzozowski. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School and from the Chippewa Valley Technical College. Gary jointly owned and operated the Brzozowski family farm in Stanley before going back to school for Fluid Power Technology. He also drove school bus for the Stanley/Boyd area school district. It was in Stanley where he fell in love with Brenda Schuebel and on April 20, 1974 they were married.

After retiring from farming and selling the farm, Gary and his wife moved to Eau Claire where he was employed at Phillips Plastics Corporation for 30 years. He was an active member of St. Olaf Catholic Parish and as well as the Stanley Lion's Club. Gary's hobbies included bowling, golfing and cooking, but he held a passion for sailing and was a member of the Lake Wissota Yacht Club.

Gary was known for his grilling skills at the annual family cookout and for his famous homemade pumpkin, rhubarb and apple pies. Gary was a jack of all trades able to fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed helping others and was a dedicated, loving family man who was cherished by his family.

Gary is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Melissa (Leigh) Asleson, Wendy (Scott) Meyer, Jennifer Brzozowski (Tim Laubach); son, Jeremiah Brzozowski (Jen Bossenbroek); grandchildren, Griffin and Quincy Meyer, Isabelle and Sophia Asleson; mother, Marcella; sister, Paulette Salzman; brother, Wesley (Donna Kidd); many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley; brother-in-law, Robert Salzman; and beloved cat, Mittens.

Service

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Olaf Catholic Church with Father Paul Hoffman officiating

Visitation: Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior to Mass at church on Thursday

Interment: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials.
