Lenore E. Larson, 92, of Elk Mound, died Sunday, January 28, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Lenore was born in Hallock, MN to Axel and Vera Jensen on May 26, 1925. She was the 3rd oldest of 13 children.

After graduating from high school In Hallock, Lenore moved to California and worked at Douglas Aircraft for 3 years.  Lenore then moved to Eau Claire where she met her future husband Allen Larson. They were married on January 28, 1950, in Minneapolis.  After they were married they moved to a farm in Brunswick township where they started their family. They had 4 wonderful children.

Lenore enjoyed being a homemaker and helping out at the farm. She was a wonderful cook and liked cooking for family, friends, and reunions. Lenore and Lars especially loved playing 500. She loved being outdoors, mowing the lawn and taking care of her vegetable garden.

When Lenore and Allen were in their 30's they were in a terrible car accident. They were both lucky to be alive. After they recovered they moved to a farm near Boyceville for 5 years and then to their present farm near Elk Mound in the fall of 1960.  While at the farm they lived, worked, and traveled to see friends and relatives in ND, CA, and FL..

Lenore was an active member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd since 1960. She continued to live on the family farm after Allen's passing in 1998. She moved to Orchard Hills in April 2017.
Lenore is survived by her 4 children, Daniel (Mary)Larson, Gary (Constance) Larson both of Elk Mound, WI; Diane Nolan (Ted Langlois) of Mondovi, WI and Janice (Michael) Decker of Bogard, MO. 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Hazel Helmueller, Dorothy Johnson, Inez Oye, Joyce (Milton) Berg; brothers Vincent Jensen and Keith (Gloria) Jensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen, brothers Harold, Earl, Floyd, Benny, and Dennis Jensen and her sister Helen Jensen, son-in-laws Henry Karstad and Gerald Nolan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Memorial services will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Pastor Josh Toufar will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the times of services. Burial will take place at a later date in the Barum Cemetery in Elk Mound.

Memorial services will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Pastor Josh Toufar will officiate.
