Rae F. Berger

December 16, 2017

“One of the hardest things you will ever have to do my dear is grieve the loss of a person who is still alive.” Rae Frances Berger, 66, of Eau Claire, died on December 16th at Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by her family.  In all honesty, her heart was broken many years ago at the passing of her best friend and forever love, Mark. She was never able to fully laugh again. We find peace in our hearts that they are together again.

Rae “Raeber” was born December 14, 1951 to Ray and Frances (Morrisey) Heimstead.  She joins her loving husband, Mark, in heaven and together we know they are laughing and rejoicing to be reunited. She worked at EC Chmel for many years before she and Mark started Berger Dental Lab.

Rae was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Frances Heimstead, her husband Mark Berger, her brother William Heimstead, and her sister Mary (Dan) Sederstrom.

She is survived by her three children, David (Karen) Falter, Erika (Derek) Johnson, Tarah (Duane) Bronstead, and sister and law Diane Heimstead. Rae had a deep love for her three grandchildren; Kali, Whitley, and Teslyn.

Rae was known for her gift of quick wit and making people laugh.  She adored her husband Mark and has longed to be with him since his passing in 2012.  As a family we know she has found her peace and for that we are grateful.  She is finally smiling again.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 2-5 p.m. at The Center EC in the Studio Room located at 3701 East Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire, WI.  A private service will be held with the family at a later date.
