Bernice "Bunny" L. Moltz

October 31, 2017

Bernice “Bunny” L. Moltz, age 87 of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Azura Memory Care in Eau Claire.

She was born on December 28, 1929 in the Town of Dover, Wisconsin to George and Belle (Nelson) Klopp. She moved to Eau Claire in 1943.  After high school, she met and married Charles Moltz, son of Walter and Gladys Moltz.  They had four children: Kay, Julie, Charles and Kurt.

Bunny and Charles were devoted and active members of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.  They later moved to the north side of town and joined Hope Lutheran Church. They enjoyed times at the Moltz cottage on Lake Chetek with family and friends.

Bunny enjoyed sewing, reading, and ceramics.  She loved visiting with her family.  Family photos were special to her and she displayed them throughout her home.  Though she suffered memory loss, she always remembered family members.

She was shy in her youth but had a strong reasoning between right and wrong.  She was always the first to the rescue.  She is now rescued and heaven sent.

Bunny is survived by her children Kay (Gary) Wilson, Julie (Tom) Rodrigue, Charles Moltz, and Kurt Moltz, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brother Duane (Donna) Klopp, Sisters Rose Sippel and Doris Sie, sister-in-law Patricia Steiner and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles (2009) brothers Howard and Norman Klopp, sister Ruth (Klopp) Dugan, sisters-in-law Angeline Klopp and Jean Moltz Golden, brothers-in-law Richard Sippel, Carl Dugan, Arnold Sie, Darrell Golden, nephews Georg Klopp, Richard Sie, James Klopp and niece Brenda Rude.

The family would like to thank Azura Memory Care and Mayo Clinic Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Bunny.
