Lori M. Mai, age 49 of Eleva, Wisconsin, entered into eternal life on October 23, 2017. Lori passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones after nearly a two year courageous battle with cancer.

Lori entered into life on June 8, 1968 in Barron, Wisconsin. Lori graduated from North High School in Eau Claire in 1986. Following high school, she attended and graduated from CVTC. Lori worked for Menards, Little Bloomers Daycare and most recently for Trempealeau County Health Care Center.

She met Bernard Mai, the love of her life, and they wed September 16, 1989. They spent many wonderful years together building an amazingly strong, loving family.

Lori is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Bernard Mai; parents, Gerald and Anna Smith of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, birth mother, Shirley M. Glaser (Jim Pagel) of Barron, Wisconsin; children, Jacob (Andy) Mai, Kendra Mai (Samuel Schaaf) all of Eleva, Wisconsin; siblings, Anthony Smith of Austin, Texas and Denise (Mike) Romsos of Barron, Wisconsin, Dan (Katie) Glaser of Owatonna, Minnesota; father-in-law, Richard Mai of Eleva, Wisconsin; brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends. Lori is also survived by her four-legged loves, Bear & Mina and her fur grandbaby, Riley.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Doris Mai, grandparents, Gordon and Margaret Smith, Anna Stone and Ray Stone, and George Glaser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at St.  Matthew Lutheran Church, 1915 Hogeboom Avenue, Eau Claire, WI 54701 with the Rev. Steven Rutter officiating. Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Hulke Family Funeral Home & Cremation services and there will be NO visitation before the funeral service at St. Matthew Lutheran Church on Friday, October 27, 2017. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral on Friday, in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington.

Visitation

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Hulke Family Funeral Home & Cremation services and there will be NO visitation before the funeral service at St. Matthew Lutheran Church on Friday, October 27, 2017.
