BERGQUIST, Donna, 91 of Eau Claire died Thursday 9/21/17 at Grace Willowbrook Assisted Living.

Donna was born in 1926 in Lidgerwood, ND, and soon moved to Minneapolis, MN where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. Her father worked as a detective for the Milwaukee Road railroad and her mother was a homemaker.

After high school, Donna worked for the Veterans Administration during World War II. After the war, she married Robert, also of Minneapolis. They were married for 52 years.

The couple lived in Minneapolis, Long Beach and Fresno CA, and St. Cloud, MN, where Donna continued to work for the federal government.

In 1956, they moved to Eau Claire where they raised three children. For many years, Donna used her considerable charm and positive outlook as a saleswoman at Putnam’s in the Putnam Heights shopping center.

Donna was a prolific gardener, dedicated bridge player, and steady golfer. Donna and Bob were long-time members of Hillcrest Country Club. In retirement, they enjoyed spending winters for several years in Texas and Arizona.

Donna is survived by three children, Lee (Leigh Albritton) Bergquist of Whitefish Bay, WI, Lynn (Norman) Falch of Elk Mound, WI, and Mary-Kay (Matthew) Yates of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Anne Falch of Tokyo, Japan; Daniel Falch of Madison, WI; and Ben Bergquist of Iowa City, IA.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, Philip and Della Healy and brother Roger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Willowbrook Assisted Living Eau Claire.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, WI 54701.  Pastor Sarah Semmler Smith will officiate.  Visitation will take place on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.

Visitation will take place on Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
