Amy Lillian Underwood, age 94 of Eau Claire passed away Friday morning, April 7, 2017 at Grace Willowbrook in Eau Claire.

Amy was born August 27, 1922 to Theadore B. and Otilda (Winberg) Johnson in Ettrick, WI.  She graduated from Melrose High School, and before her marriage, she worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She married Fred H. Underwood on May 17, 1947, and since has lived in Eau Claire.  She was married at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, and she has been a member there since then.

She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Mary) of Ft. Atkinson, Allan of Eau Claire and Fred T. (Laura) of Kettering, Ohio, four grandchildren Tricia (Mark), Aaron, Chad (Alison), and Kori, seven great-grandchildren Jessica Jo, Hunter, Skyler, Jackson, Adam, Griffin, and Abigail. She is also survived by a brother Lawrence (Iris) of Chippewa Falls and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Fred, on January 14, 2015, her parents, three sisters Verna Hughes, Lila Shampo and Virginia Kolb three brothers Tilford, Norman, and Larry, stepmother Laura, and step sister Marilyn Mortenson.

Funeral services will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall Street, Eau Claire, WI 54703.   The Rev. Dr. Timothy Heupel will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington immediately following the funeral service.
