Andrew R. Lee

Andrew R. Lee

February 13, 2017

Andrew R. Lee age 27 of Wheeler, lost his life unexpectedly on Monday February 13, 2017 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in the Township of Otter Creek, Dunn County.

Andrew was born October 3, 1989 in New Richmond.  He was the son of Bob and Dolly (Garske) Lee.  Andrew grew up in the Otter Creek Township, rural Wheeler.

After graduating High School from Colfax in 2008, Andrew held several jobs working in warehouse atmospheres and as a mechanic. He was currently working as a mechanic in a newly opened private auto shop.

Andrew fought the fight and overcame many difficulties in his life due to a severe congenital heart condition with strength and grace. Despite the trials he faced along the way, Andrew truly lived life to the fullest and was a prime example of strength and perseverance for us all. Andrew was fearless.

Andrew enjoyed everything and anything outdoors. He loved “his” country and “his” woods. He loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, shoot pool, shoot darts, the Green Bay Packers, and anything to do with motorsports. But most of all, Andrew enjoyed being with his family and large circle of friends. In his short life Andrew touched many people in many different ways.

He will always be remembered for his giving heart, generosity, beautiful smile, big sense of humor, and his quirky one-liners such as “settle down there Skippy”. If there was ever a need for a shoulder to lean on during trying times, Andrew was there. He truly was a big teddy bear. Andrew always worked hard, and for those of us who knew him well, we know he played even harder. He will be missed by many.

Andrew is survived by his parents Bob and Dolly Lee, a brother Brady Lee, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ken and Sue Garske, paternal grandparents Charles & Helen Lee, his cousin, Kenny Garske, an aunt, Linda Lee and an uncle, Bill Lee and his beloved dog Hunter.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Friday February 17, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie with Rev. James Kurzynski officiating.  Private burial will be at later date at the Hay River Cemetery north of Wheeler.
