Inurnment with military honors will take place at a later date in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.

Frank was born on May 2, 1944 in Chicago to Frank and Lillian (Gregorczyk) Lysy. It was during his childhood here that he developed his love of the Chicago sports teams.  He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in 1962 in Chicago.  He enlisted in the Air Force and served from 1962-1966 during which time he was stationed at Minot AFB in North Dakota.  He attended Minot State University and graduated with a major in art and a minor in business.  While living in Minot he met the love of his life Claire Colwell.  They were married August 6th, 1966 at St Joseph Church in Williston, North Dakota where they lived the majority of their lives while raising their three boys Craig, Kevin and Corey.  Frank owned his own business “Bold Images” where he put his pride and many years of hard work. When he wasn’t working he loved to go fishing. When Claire was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, he dedicated his life to caring for her.   In May of 2008, Frank and Claire moved to Eau Claire, WI to be near their two sons Craig and Kevin.  Frank continued to pursue his interest in genealogy and his love of music. Although the 60’s were his favorite generation, he enjoyed listening to many different genres.

Frank is survived by his wife Claire; sons Craig, Kevin and Corey; his daughter-in-laws Amy and Laura; his grandchildren Matt, Connor, Calvin, Jonah, Jazlynn, Janessa, Jacob and Joshua; sister Connie Jasinski and brother Joe Lysy and his wife Sue.
